Games Sunshine Coast is a not-for-profit, community-led initiative supporting the Sunshine Coast’s digital games industry. We bring together developers, creators, educators, students, and industry partners to connect, collaborate, and grow through meetups, events, workshops, and talent pathways.
Working alongside the Sunshine Coast Council and apart of the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective, we help strengthen the local ecosystem by sharing knowledge, championing local talent, and creating opportunities for innovation and sustainable careers in games.

Our mission is to strengthen and grow the Sunshine Coast’s digital games community by fostering collaboration, supporting local talent, and creating opportunities for innovation and business success. Working collaboratively with the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective, we aim to connect developers, educators, and industry partners to build a sustainable, inclusive ecosystem that celebrates creativity and drives regional prosperity.
Purpose
• To support and accelerate the Sunshine Coast’s digital games industry
• Building a connected ecosystem through regular meetups, events, and a coordinated communication strategy.
• Advocating for the establishment of a dedicated space for game development on the Sunshine Coast, including high-speed internet access and co-working opportunities.
• Creating pathways for talent development via internships, professional upskilling, and a regional talent directory.
• Defining the region’s unique value proposition (USP) to attract studios, talent, and investment.
• Supporting local developers navigate the business of games, including publishing connections, marketing, and tailored workshops.
• The group will act as a bridge between local developers, government, education, and industry enablers - ensuring alignment, amplifying opportunities, and fostering a collaborative, sustainable future for game development on the Sunshine Coast.
